Special Features: Over the past 5 years the University averages a 96 percent placement rate of its graduating seniors in a position of employment or a graduate school within six months of graduation. The Office of Career Development joins with faculty advisors to assist students in arranging internships and career guidance. The brand new $17-million Chapel of the Holy Spirit, completed in 2009 and designed by Sasaki Associates, along with its peaceful sitting areas, provides the campus with a symbol of its Catholic Tradition and has become the center of campus spirituality. Currently the University is constructing a brand new $17-million, 46,000-square-foot, Student Commons Center which will house a new Bookstore and Food Court among other student-focused amenities. The Student Commons is slated to open in February of 2012. The William H. Pitt Health & Recreation Complex - a 132,000-square-foot facility containing four multipurpose basketball courts; including a 4,000-seat arena for men's and women's Division I intercollegiate competition, indoor tennis courts, recently renovated dedicated fitness center and aerobics room. The building also houses a faculty-operated physical therapy clinic which is designed to provide service to the University Community as well as clinical research and teaching opportunities for the Physical Therapy academic programs.

Admissions Requirements: Students applying for full-time undergraduate study must submit completed Common Application, high school transcript, essay, a minimum of one letter of recommendation and the $50 application fee. Interviews are highly recommended. Sacred Heart University offers Early Decision (binding option - Dec 1 deadline) and also Rolling Admission (Jan 15 preferred deadline) for Undergraduates. |
