Nova Southeastern University: Where the Future Began
Nova Southeastern University offers a variety of opportunities throughout the year for you to visit the campus.

FT. LAUDERDALE, FL
Years from now, historians will look back and discover that the future officially began in 1964. The Beatles arrived and changed the face of music. The first Ford Mustang rolled out of Detroit. And, in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, a tiny college was born, with a handful of students and some revolutionary ideas. That college grew up to become Nova Southeastern University (NSU), and the rest is history.
Today, NSU is the nation’s sixth largest independent university, with more than 26,000 students, 90,000 alumni, a sprawling 300-acre Fort Lauderdale campus, and a presence in nine countries around the world. Through five decades of explosive growth, its reputation for academic excellence and innovation continues to flourish.
So what exactly is NSU? It’s a small, private undergraduate college. It’s an exciting, multifaceted university. It’s young and agile, fearless and forward thinking. And it’s traditional. NSU doesn’t fit easily within a standardized niche, because neither do you.

You Can Go Anywhere from NSU
With more than 40 undergraduate programs encompassing everything from the arts and sciences, education and the allied health professions to business, you’ll have a wide range of avenues to pursue. And since just about all of NSU’s renowned graduate and professional schools are located right on campus, you can finish what you started.
NSU’s unique Dual Admission Program gives you a head start on your future by allowing you to reserve a seat in one of the University’s graduate schools while you earn your bachelor’s degree. And its Honors Program fosters a deeper, richer learning environment through collaborative relationships between students and carefully selected faculty members.
Whether you’re looking for the incredible personal attention of a small, private college or the vast resources of a diverse and dynamic university, you’ll find it at NSU.

Student Life
With more than 70 on-campus student organizations, a powerful student government, socially active fraternities and sororities, intramural sports, NCAA Division II athletics, the largest library in Florida, and the incredible new University Center recreation complex, NSU has all the elements of a classic, traditional college. But NSU has never been bound by tradition. Maybe that’s because it’s located in one of the most exciting, international places on earth.
Between the undergraduate and graduate programs, NSU offers more than 120 different degrees, but for some people the degrees that matter most are found on a thermometer. So how does 77 degrees Fahrenheit sound? That’s the average temperature in South Florida. Which means when you’re not in class, you can be outdoors all year round, experiencing everything South Florida has to offer. NSU is just 15 minutes from Fort Lauderdale Beach, 30 minutes from legendary South Beach, and you can be anywhere, from the theme parks of Orlando to the laid back Florida Keys, in about three hours.
The residence halls at NSU are spacious, modern, secure, and convenient. You’ll be close to the University Center recreation complex, on-campus dining and, of course, all of your classes. All residence halls offer wireless Internet access. But more than that, every room features a private bathroom. Because while NSU thinks you’ll learn as much in the rec room as you will in the classrooms, there is such a thing as too much information.
Seeing Is Belonging
Do you believe in love at first sight? Evidently, many NSU students do. Because it seems like once they’ve seen NSU, they’re hooked. Situated just 10 minutes from the Fort Lauderdale/Hollywood International Airport, and close to I-95, I-75, and Florida’s Turnpike, it’s not hard to get to NSU’s 300-acre campus. But it’s awfully hard to leave. The University offers a variety of opportunities throughout the year for you to visit the campus. You can contact the Office of Undergraduate Admission for an individual counselor appointment and a student-guided campus tour, Monday through Saturday. And what better way to take in the whole South Florida lifestyle than in one of the University’s chauffeur-driven golf carts? Just tell admissions when you plan to visit, and they’ll do the rest!
