Special Features: Career Internships, Clinical Fieldwork and Cooperative Education placements with hands-on experience available in most programs. Facilities include veterinary clinic, preschool, health sciences education center, forensic science lab, equestrian center and motion analysis lab, new synthetic turf field. The college is located one hour from Boston, Providence, and Hartford. Skiing and snowboarding are within minutes of the college. Worcester is home to 11 colleges and universities with a collective enrollment of 18,000 students. Cross-registration is available. ATHLETIC TEAMS: Varsity NCAA Division III sports: men's and women's soccer, tennis, lacrosse, and basketball; men's ice hockey, football, baseball, golf, and lacrosse; and women's teams in field hockey, and volleyball. Becker College also has an IHSA equestrian team and cheerleading.
Admissions Requirements: Official high school transcript and standardized test score results. Additional requirements for consideration to Health Sciences majors: minimum 2.5/4.0 GPA, and prerequisite courses of at least 2 years of Math (Algebra I or II, Geometry, or Pre-calculus), Biology and Chemistry (with labs) and grades of "C+" or better in these courses. One letter of recommendation from a non-relative is recommended and a personal essay is optional.
