Special Features: Anna Maria College (AMC) is a four-year, private, co-ed, Catholic, liberal arts institution accredited by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges.  Founded by the Sisters of Saint Anne in 1946, the College is located on a 190-acre campus in Paxton, Massachusetts, minutes from the vibrant college town of Worcester.  AMC provides quality programs that integrate liberal education and professional preparation that is committed to the fundamental value of liberal arts and sciences education rooted in the traditions of the Sisters of Saint Anne.

AMC is a close-knit community offering 35+ undergraduate degree programs and over 22 graduate and continuing education programs.  Committed to a core curriculum that fosters critical and integrated thinking, AMC offers academic excellence with respected faculty and class sizes that range from 4 to 30 students, with a typical size of 10 to 15 students, enabling faculty and students to get to know each other personally. Popular majors include art and music therapy, business, criminal justice, education, environmental studies, fire science, humanities, legal studies, music, nursing, paramedic science, political science, social work, and psychology. AMC also offers an Honors Program with unique study-abroad opportunities and a 5th Year Option to obtain a master’s degree.  AMC is also a member of the Higher Education Consortium of Central Massachusetts, a group of 12 colleges that allows students to cross register at no additional cost.

Co-curricular programs abound at AMC including 13 NCAA Division III sports teams.  The New England setting of Paxton offers students the best of both worlds: a relaxed, closed-campus environment in which to live and study, and within minutes of Worcester, New England’s second largest city.  AMC students can enjoy all that an AMC campus life has to offer and also enjoy the excitement of the Worcester area, including rock concerts at the DCU Center and the Palladium, skiing at nearby Wachusett Mountain, Broadway style shows at the Hanover Theater, art exhibits at the world-class Worcester Art Museum and great restaurants in Worcester’s growing downtown.  AMC is also about an hour’s drive to Boston, Cape Cod, Connecticut, New Hampshire, Vermont and Rhode Island.
